Wellness Without Walls  Whole Health

 In 2009 The Institute of Medicine (IOM) along with The Bravewell Collaborative hosted the Summit on Integrative Medicine and the Health of the Public.  Leading scientists, clinicians, policy experts and health care providers gathered to discuss the role integrative medicine must play in response to the current health care system, "which anybody would agree is facing a tremendous crisis," said Ralph Snyderman, summit chair and chancellor emeritus of Duke University School of Medicine.

At this summit, Senator Tom Harkin, Senator Barbara Mikulski, President Obama and others declare their intention to change healthcare creating a new system focused on prevention, wellness and putting the patient at the center of care.  This would be done by creating greater attention to #1) Education and #2) Lifestyle Changes.  Those selected to lead this National Prevention Promotion: Dr. Andrew Weil MD, Dr. Mehmet Oz MD, Dr.Mark Hyman MD, and Dr. Dean Ornish MD have provided the four corner post for this work as well.

Wellness Without Walls is committed to co-creating a two sided coin: A) Co-creating Healthy Companies and B) Co-creating Healthy Communities as both need the added value of the other to be a strong currency of wealth in this country.  This website is focused on Co-creating Healthy Companies.  To do this we have built on Integrative Medicine from the  top institutions in this country: Harvard, John's Hopkins, Duke and other top teaching medical institutions and their research.  We have assimilated the studies of Healthy Communities from The Healthcare Forum to Canyon Ranch, Miraval Resorts and more for a wholistic health approach.
